 The iconic Technics turntable combines classic design with new DJ functions, ease of use, unrivaled reliability and durability, by adding a coreless direct drive motor. The direct drive system uses a slow-rotating motor to directly drive the platter. This system offers several advantages. It delivers high performance, rotation precision and powerful torque, does not require replacement parts and ensures high reliability over a long period of time.
 The most advanced digital motor control technology, achieved through the development of Blu-ray products, has been applied to improve the individual adjustment of torque and brake in four increments.
 The pitch control function allows for fine adjustment of rotation speed within ±8%/ ±16%. This is achieved through digital control, from cursor position detection to motor rotation control, eliminating the need for DA conversion.
 Brake torque/speed adjustment, rotation speed switch and reverse play can be adjusted by the switches on the main unit.
 The tonearm, which has supported creative DJs for many years, inherits the highly reliable static-balanced universal S-shaped tonearm. Using high-precision bearings, it achieves superior pickup sensitivity compared to the SL-1200MK6. This promotes precise tracking of the record groove for excellent performance with minimal stylus skips, even under difficult playback conditions such as scratching.
